Gary Jones was born on January 4, 1958 in Swansea, Wales. He is an actor and writer, known for Stargate SG-1 (1997), Stargate: Atlantis (2004) and The Package (2018). He is married to Meg Cameron. They have three children. He was previously married to Greta Headley.

He appeared in two episodes of the revival series from 1995 to 1996:
