Harry Rhett Townes (September 18, 1914 – May 23, 2001) was an American actor who later became an Episcopalian minister.

He made guest appearances on such series as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Men Into Space, Johnny Ringo, One Step Beyond, The Twilight Zone, The Littlest Hobo, Rawhide, Mr. Novak, Perry Mason, Dr. Kildare, The Fugitive, The Wild Wild West, Star Trek: The Original Series, The Invaders, Tarzan, Gunsmoke, Mannix, Kung Fu, Planet of the Apes, Ark II, Phyllis, Lou Grant, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Incredible Hulk, Falcon Crest, Voyagers!, Magnum, P.I., Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Knots Landing.

He played Dr. Clifford Scott in the original series episode "O.B.I.T.".
